On September 27-28, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov will attend the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States on Afghanistan in Istanbul, announced the official representative of the Foreign Ministry, Yusup Kabulzhanov.

The meeting is expected to discuss security and the ways to further advance regional economic cooperation, as well as the situation in Afghanistan.

The member states of the Turkic Council, established on October 3, 2009, are Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, while Hungary will attend as an observer state. Uzbekistan became a full member of the council in 2019.
