On November 10-11, Samarkand will host the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States. The event, chaired by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be attended by the Chairman of the People's Council of the National Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Azerbaijan Ilhom Aliyev, the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán.

The heads of the secretariat of International Turkic Cultural Organization (TURKSOY), Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), International Turkish Academy, Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation are scheduled to participate.

The agenda of the summit includes the discussion of the ways to further develop mutually beneficial and multifaceted cooperation in economy, trade, investment, transport, innovation, ecology, tourism, cultural-humanitarian and other fields, improvement of organizational activities.

In the end, it is planned to adopt the Samarkand Declaration and other important decisions and documents aimed at expanding cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
