Afghan President Ashraf Ghani hosted the visiting Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov Sunday, the Ministry said. The sides reportedly discussed the bilateral ties, focusing on the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Afghanistan to Uzbekistan in December, and exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and the Central Asia in general.
Uzbekistan reiterated its consent to the opening of the Afghan consulate in Termez.
Muhammad Ashraf Ghani thanked the Uzbek side for the efforts made to promote the peace process in Afghanistan.
