Tashkent will raise the maximum public transport fare for passengers paying electronically, by bank card, transit card or mobile app, from 1,700 to 2,500 soums starting Oct. 1. The cash fare will remain at 3,000 soums, and carrying luggage will cost 4,000 soums.
The Tashkent City Council adopted the decision on Sept. 25. A draft had been published for public input earlier this month.

Fare packages for ATTO transit cards
A 50% discount applies to all packages for schoolchildren, university students, pensioners and people with disabilities.
The last fare increase for Tashkent's public transport came three years ago, in November 2023, when the fare rose from 1,400 to 1,700 soums. The capital currently has the lowest fares among Uzbekistan's major cities, where bus fares exceed 2,000 soums.
