Kabul Berdiyev has been appointed chief of the Civil Protection Institute under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, replacing Zafar Turaev, who returned to the post of deputy chief of the institute, the ministry reported.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressed the Uzbekistan-Turkey Business Forum held as part of the state visit of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was also present in the forum, to Uzbekistan.

Uzbek President Mirziyoyev and Turkish President Erdoğan made press statements at the Kuksaroy residence in the capital Tashkent after bilateral talks between the delegations. Before the event, the heads of state signed a Joint Declaration aimed at improving the Uzbekistan-Turkey ties.
