The Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg is set to open an international exhibition dedicated to the court culture and art of the Emirate of Bukhara on June 5 of this year. The exhibition will showcase 67 rare artifacts sourced from Uzbekistan’s national museums and the Hermitage’s own collections.

Organized as part of the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the exhibition—titled "Discovering Court Rooms: Art at the Palace of the Emir of Bukhara"—is a collaborative initiative between the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and the State Hermitage Museum.

The displays will feature exquisite masterpieces selected from the Bukhara State Museum-Reserve, the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of Applied Arts and History of Handicrafts of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of the History of the Temurids, and the Hermitage Museum.

Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the artistic culture of the Bukhara Emirate, exploring the rich traditions of Central Asian courtly life through fine decorative and applied arts, exceptional jewelry, and everyday artifacts from palace life.

This prestigious international exhibition will run from June 5 through October 4.
