Uzbek national who killed 11 people was sentenced to life imprisonment in Kyiv. For the support of public accusations, attorneys of the Kyiv City Attorney's Office found the man guilty of committing premeditated murders and robberies (Articles 115, 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
By the ruling of the panel of the Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv, he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Attorneys proved in court that a 38-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan had taken the lives of 3 women and 8 men over a period of 6 years. He tried to kill another victim, but was unable to complete his plan. Most of his victims were people without a permanent place of residence, whom the man met, drank alcohol with, and then killed. Their bodies were found, but it was extremely difficult to establish the circumstances and causes of death.
The convict was detained in Kyiv in January 2024. He entered a flower shop in the Holosiivskyi district and stabbed the saleswoman more than 30 times. After that, he took her gold jewelry and fled. The man confessed to committing this murder and began to talk in detail about similar crimes.
Thus, in 2018, the convict worked at one of the markets in Kharkiv, where he killed an acquaintance with an axe, inflicting more than 30 blows to the head and torso. He threw the axe, documents and phone into the oven, taking the money of the murdered man. After that, he left for Kyiv.
In August 2019, after drinking alcoholic beverages together, he killed a previously homeless man near the Demiivska metro station. The convict inflicted numerous blows with his feet and hands, after which he grabbed a stone and inflicted 8 more blows to the head.
In early September 2019, the man saw his old acquaintance, who had no permanent residence, sleeping on the ground. The day before, they had a verbal conflict, so the convict, finding a piece of concrete nearby, hit his acquaintance on the head with it. The victim died from the injuries he received.
In January 2020, after drinking alcohol with three men - a father and his sons, in the basement of a house in the Obolonsky district, the convict strangled them all in turn with a trouser belt while they were sleeping.
At the end of June 2021, in the Svyatoshynsky district, the convict approached a janitor and hit him in the head. When he fell and lost consciousness, he planned to finish him off, but when he saw people nearby, he stole the money and left the city. The victim did not report the attack on himself to the police.
In June 2023, after meeting and drinking alcohol together on the territory of the Babyn Yar tract, the convict strangled a woman with his hands.
In early July 2023, near the Pochaina metro station, the man met his fellow countryman. They went to celebrate their acquaintance, and then the convict took a piece of the sheet on which the victim had slept and made a noose out of it to make the murder look like a suicide.
A few days later, in the Obolonsky district, he strangled a woman who asked him for help in order to find out the necessary further route for her.
In mid-July 2023, on Petropavlivska Borshchagovka, the convict met an elderly man in a supermarket, whom he took to an abandoned building and strangled with a denim cloth. After that, he threw the body of the deceased into the garbage.
The criminal remembered each victim well and hoped that detailed accounts and confessions would mitigate the sentence. The court, taking into account the attorneys' arguments, assessed the evidence provided and found the man guilty of the crimes charged and imposed the maximum sentence.
