1.24% inflation was recorded in Uzbekistan In December 2023, the Statistics Agency said in a report. This is slightly higher than in December 2022, but lower than in previous years (in December 2022 - 1.23%, 2021 - 1.26%, 2020 - 1.55%, 2019 - 1.69%). 

Reportedly, over the past month, food items on average became more expensive by 1.3% (the minimum in five years), while non-food items - by 1%, and services - by 1.5% (more than in five years). 

In 2023 (for January-December), inflation dropped to 8.77% - this is the lowest figure since 2016 (5.7%). Over the year, food items became more expensive on average by 9.7% (the minimum for five years), non-food items by 7.7%, and services by 8.7%.
