Uzbekneftegaz and Socar (Azerbaijan) signed an agreement to increase oil production in the Kashkadarya province, Uzbekneftegaz said.

The agreement sets the terms and conditions for cooperation to increase hydrocarbon production at the Garbiy Toshli and Sharqiy Toshli, Shimoliy Shurtan and Garmiston fields using advanced technologies of the Azerbaijani company.

In addition, Uzbekneftegaz, Socar and British BP signed a tripartite agreement on the assessment of exploration potential in three investment blocks in the Ustyurt region.

During the year, the companies held talks and conducted a preliminary analysis of materials on investment blocks of Uzbekistan. A prerequisite for the conclusion of the agreement was the signing of a tripartite memorandum of understanding at the Oil & Gas Uzbekistan in 2018 conference.
