The unemployment rate in Uzbekistan in Q1 topped 9.4%, the Liberal Democratic Party said in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Tuesday.
The highest unemployment rate - 9.8% - was registered in Samarkand and Surkhandarya provinces, 9.7% - in Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya and Ferghana provinces, the lowest rate - 7.8% - in Tashkent, with the total number jobseekers at 1.399 million people.
Note: In Q1 of 2019, the unemployment rate was also 9.4%, 1.391 million jobseekers.
