Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khojaev met with Turkish Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, Dunyo reported.

The parties exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation aimed at increasing the two-way trade and agreed to expedite the process of agreeing the preferential trade deal in order to ratify it in the near future. The next measures to eliminate trade barriers, simplify customs procedures in the implementation of trade operations, and introduce digital solutions in the field have been determined.

The parties also focused on deepening cooperation in the field of transport and logistics. Taking into account the upward trend of road and air freight transport between the two countries, the parties agreed on the importance of implementing measures to develop the transport infrastructure and increase the volume of direct and transit freight between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the parties determined the next efforts to implement the announced initiatives and the ways of mutual cooperation in all the areas considered.
