Uzbekistan resumed gas supplies to Tajikistan, suspended in 2012, through the Muzrabad-Dushanbe main gas pipeline, Akhborot 24 reported on Saturday.

To fulfill the commitments, promised by Uzbek officials to the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani regarding cooperation in the field of Communications and Information technologies at the Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan, the Communications and Information Technology minister of Afghanistan Shahzad Aryobee met with the minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology of Uzbekistan. Azim Akhmedkhadjaev, while Afghan and Uzbek Telecom officials were also present, on Monday, April 2, 2018.

The first power block of the Turakurgan Combined Cycle Power Plant Project will be commissioned in December 2019, UzA said, while the phase II will be put into operation in March 2020. The cost of the project is estimated at US$ 1.195 billion.
