On December 3, the National Interbank Processing Center (NIPC) and the nd global payments technology company Mastercard announced the launch of acceptance of Mastercard card payments on the Humo system, NIPC said.
Now holders of Mastercards cards can pay for goods and services throughout the country at the Humo points of sale.
Director of NIPC, Shukhratbek Kurbanov noted that thanks to the cloud update, there is no need for businesses to go to a bank to switch on the service: Humo terminals are ready to accept Mastercard card payments.
At the moment, Mastercard card holders can contactlessly pay for goods and services in more than 170 thousand points of sale throughout Uzbekistan, with 1% charged for sellers, and 1.5% for cardholders.
Earlier it was reported that more than 800 ATMs that accept Mastercard cards were installed.
