Gas stations selling AI-80 gasoline under the guise of AI-92 or AI-95 have been identified in Andijan. The octane number did not correspond to the declared brand of gasoline in 7 samples out of 17 samples taken at gas stations in Andijan city and Andijan province.

Despite the fact that 500 tons of AI-80 gasoline were delivered to gas stations in Andijan province, drivers continued to complain about its shortage. the press service of the province governor office reported.

Reportedly, currently the province governor and officials have launched a probe into the situation and check the sale points.

“A working group has been formed on this case, with samples of products sold at gas stations in the Andijan province selected. There are many objections as to whether AI-80 gasoline is sold as AI-92 or AI-95. The samples were received by the working group on December 14-15 of this year. In particular, in 7 out of 17 samples taken on December 14, which found that the octane number did not match the declared brand of gasoline. Such cases were common at gas stations in the city of Andijan and the Andijan province, since inspections began from this province,” said Sirojiddin Mukhtorov, deputy chief of Andijan province department of Energy Inspectorate.
