President Mirziyoyev signed the Measures for the implementation of the project "Integrated development of rural areas" (2nd stage) with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank Decree.
A US$ 260 million soft loan is being drawn from the Islamic Development Bank for a period of 20 years. The infrastructure of villages will be improved in 21 districts of Samarkand, Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya provinces in 2024-2028 at the expense of loan funds.
20 schools (19 in Samarkand), 14 kindergartens, 10 family doctor's offices (all in Samarkand) will be built, 200 km of drinking water, 368 km of electricity network will be laid, and 53 transformers will be erected as part of the project.
About 330 kilometers of road infrastructure will be improved, for which 717 billion soums will be contributed.
