Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for a business census to be held from October 15 to November 30, 2026, according to a government resolution dated October 9.

The census will use a reference point of 00:00 on October 1, 2026, the resolution said. It will cover legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, dehkan farms, the self-employed and entities operating without state registration.

Legal entities will register themselves through hisobot.stat.uz, while self-employed individuals will use census.stat.uz. Enumerators will also register economic units at the addresses where they operate. Surveys will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Respondent data will be kept confidential and used only for statistical purposes, according to the resolution. A call center with the short number 1851 will handle questions and inquiries.

Within 10 days of the census ending, up to 5% of registered economic units will be checked through sample-based control. The National Statistics Committee will publish final results on its official website by September 1, 2027.

A presidential decree dated September 10 approved the national strategy “Statistics Development — 2030.” Under the strategy, a statistical population register will be built by the end of 2027 using the results of the population and agricultural censuses. Population figures will then be calculated and published on the basis of that register.
