The State Security Service (SSS) has launched a hotline for calls from individuals and legal entities on issues within its competence, the press service of the Service said.
The 1520 hotline accepts calls on the following subjects:
- encroachments on the constitutional order, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Uzbekistan;
- threats to the protection and defense of the state border;
- threats to state security in the Armed Forces and the defense industry;
- facts related to terrorism, extremism and organized crime;
- crimes related to the illegal trafficking of weapons, narcotic and psychotropic substances;
- corruption and economic crimes that threaten the national interests;
- propaganda of interethnic, ethnic and religious hatred;
- other information on offenses that pose a threat to state interests and security.
Calls are also accepted on criminal cases provided for by the articles of the Criminal Code:
- Art. 150-163 (Crimes against peace and security of mankind, including articles on war propaganda, becoming mercenaries, recruitment for military service of foreign states, as well as crimes against the Republic of Uzbekistan);
- 182 (Violation of customs legislation);
- 223 (Illegal travel abroad or illegal entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan);
- 246 (Violation of administrative supervision rules).
At the same time, the SSS reminded of liability for making false, libel or insult statements.
The State Security Service called on individuals not to remain indifferent to offenses. "The anonymity of those calling 1520 is guaranteed," the statement says.
"The participation of each individual is important for maintaining peace and tranquility in our country," the SSS concluded.
