The Deputy Foreign Minister Olim Abdullayev as part of the ministerial delegation meeting to Bulgaria met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Bulgaria Maria Angelieva in Sofia. 

According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties confirmed their interest in intensifying dialogue in the political and consular spheres and expressed their readiness to systematically consider issues of mutual interest. 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the ways to protect the rights of workers, in particular Uzbek nationals, and supporting those who have suffered from unscrupulous employers. 

Maria Angelieva voiced her readiness to establish a permanent dialogue on labor migration and indicated that bilateral agreements in this area could be signed in the near future. 

The parties also pointed to the need to hold the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bulgaria. 

As part of the visit, the delegation members held talks with the chairperson of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy Denitsa Sacheva, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Lyubomir Yosifov, and the Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tsvetan Simeonov. 

The talks centered on labor migration, combating illegal migration, the establishment of joint training centers, as well as trade and economic relations, investments, and joint projects. 

The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and expressed their full readiness to implement the reached agreements.
