The President Mirziyoyev was informed about new plans for the development of the Andijan province, the presidential press service said.
This year, it is reportedly planned to draw $3.1 billion in investments, export products worth $1.5 billion to the province, provide employment for 305 thousand people and lift over 32 thousand families out of poverty.
Year-to-date, new production units worth $1 billion have been launched in the province, 344 trade and service complexes have been opened. The projects worth $2.5 billion have been launched. Over the past six months, $850 million in investments have been attracted, and the volume of exports amounted to $465 million.
Recently, with the participation of scientific experts and entrepreneurs, a reform headquarters was set up, which developed new proposals for the development of the economy and the social sphere.
At the presentation, those responsible presented the rationale and expected effectiveness of these initiatives.
For example, it is planned to erect an innovative clinic using robotic technologies from Germany, Turkey and Japan. The volume of investments is $40 million. With the support of diplomatic missions abroad, negotiations are underway to attract 20 million euros from Italy to create an agro-cluster and 25 million euros from Germany to build a modern agro-logistics complex. More than 30 initiatives for the development of tourist zones have been formed in Khanabad, Khodjaabad and Bulakbashi districts.
In general, a portfolio of additional projects worth 1.1 billion dollars has been formed. Their implementation will create 22 thousand new jobs and additionally increase exports by 200 million dollars per year.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need for an individual approach to each city and district of the province, as well as the importance of placing new projects in areas with the lowest inflow of investments.
He also gave directives to organize training and employment for the unemployed and needy families, as well as to take measures to turn mahallas into crime-free territories.
