The Aviation Security Service confiscated 535 illegal items at Tashkent Airport from January 1 to August 30, 2025, Uzbekistan Airports said.
It is noted that among the confiscated items are bladed weapons (knives, daggers, brass knuckles), military weapons and their analogues, pyrotechnics (firecrackers, sparklers), gas and pepper spray canisters, helmets and stun guns, chemical substances and multi-purpose devices (toy guns, key-ring bullets, as well as drones).
Reportedly, most of these items are a potential threat to the safety of passengers and crew. Even souvenir bullets and toy weapons can arouse suspicion and cause a flight delay or an incident on board the aircraft. "Following the rules of transportation not only helps to pass security checks more easily, but also plays an important role in ensuring flight safety. In this regard, passengers are advised to familiarize themselves with the list of prohibited items in advance.
