Military performances and a military march will take place in Tashkent today in the afternoon in honor of the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the Uzbekistan Flag Day, the Ministry of Defense press service said.
The events will begin at 3:00 PM at Victory Park in the Almazar district. Officers of the Defense Ministry and National Guard will then march to Friendship of Peoples Square. The route includes:
- Sagban and Zarkaynar Streets;
- State Museum of Nature;
- Chorsu Market;
- Tashkent Circus;
- Friendship of Peoples Palace.
Friendship of Peoples Square will also feature demonstration performances, a unit formation demonstration, and a military band performance.
Due to the events, traffic will be temporarily restricted from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the following street sections:
- from the intersection of Karakamysh and Sagban Streets along Sagban Street to the intersection of the Small Ring Road and Sagban;
- from Small Ring Road and Sagban intersection along Sagban Street to the intersection of Nurafshan and Sagban Streets;
- from the Nurafshan and Sagban intersection along Sagban Street to the intersection of Farabi and Sagban Streets;
- from Zarkaynar and Sagban roundabout along Zarkaynar Street to the intersection of Zarkaynar and Alisher Navoi;
- from the intersection of Zarkaynar and Alisher Navoi along Furkat Street to the intersection of Furkat and Islam Karimov Streets;
- from the Furkata-Islam Karimov intersection along Furkat Street to the Furkat-Beshagach intersection.
The Tashkent mayor's office also announced that a gala concert featuring pop stars will be held at People’s Friendship Square, followed by a drone show at 6:00 PM.
