The year 2025, along with 2016 and 2023, was one of the warmest years on record in Uzbekistan, and in several areas, including Tashkent, it ranked the warmest year ever, Uzhydromet said in a review.
Across most of the country, temperatures in January and February were close to the long-term averages, and from March to December, they were above normal.
April and May were the warmest months relative to normal, with temperatures 2.5-4.5 degrees Celsius above the long-term average.
Overall, the average annual temperature deviated from normal by 1-2 degrees Celsius.
The year 2025 was also very dry. In most areas, annual precipitation totals were 50-80% of normal. Only in the northwestern areas and the extreme south was the annual precipitation close to the climatic norm.
All months from April to November were dry or extremely dry. December was the wettest month of the year.
