As reported earlier starting May 1, AI-powered smart migration stations featuring self-service facility are to be piloted at the Migration and Personalization Departments in four provinces.

One such station is to be opened in one district (city) in the Tashkent, Samarkand, and Fergana provinces, as well as in Karakalpakstan. Based on the pilot's results, "smart migration stations" are planned to open in other provinces next year, as well as in shopping and entertainment centers and tourist areas.

The following governmental services will initially be available at the "smart" stations:

Services provided through desk:

  • issuance and replacement of an Uzbek citizen's ID card;
  • residential registration and registration of a homeowner;
  • deregistration of citizens from their place of residence at the owner's initiative;
  • independent deregistration from their place of residence;
  • registration of Uzbek citizens at their place of stay;
  • issuance of a certificate of residence;
  • obtaining a certificate of persons registered and residing at their place of residence;
  • obtaining a certificate of criminal record.

Applications can be filed for:

  • for obtaining a biometric passport of a citizen of Uzbekistan for travel abroad;
  • for issuing a biometric travel document for a stateless person;
  • for inviting foreign citizens and stateless persons to Uzbekistan, as well as compatriots living abroad and their family members;
  • for registering foreign citizens and stateless persons at their place of residence;
  • for confirming non-citizenship of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • for extending visas for foreign citizens and stateless persons.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has been instructed to subsequently expand the range of self-service options.
