On July 4, the Acting Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov had a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu today, the Foreign Ministry said.

Reportedly, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed Turkey's firm support for the decisive measures taken by Uzbekistan to ensure peace, security and public tranquility in Karakalpakstan, and to fully support the sustainable development of this region.

He emphasized the importance of timely and comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached during the Uzbek-Turkish high-level meetings.

Also, the parties discussed the organizational and substantive aspects related to the holding of planned events in bilateral and multilateral formats, including the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey trilateral meeting at the level of heads of departments in charge of foreign policy, economics and transport in Tashkent.
