A corporate document published on Oct 11 shows a Russian Wildberries unit as trust manager of the state’s stake in Uzbekistan Post, three days after the head of the State Assets Management Agency said the company had not been placed in trust management.

Agency director Sohibjon Murodov at еру Oct 8 news conference, said: “As of today, it has not been transferred to trust management.”

He said Wildberries representatives were put on the post’s supervisory council to draw on the company’s experience and to help raise an interest-free loan of up to 360 billion soums. The postal operator’s executive body and shareholder had not changed, he said, and cooperation would continue depending on results.

The KorpInfo Telegram channel published an excerpt from Minutes No. 2 of a Sept 21 extraordinary shareholders’ meeting. It cites clause 6.1 of Trust Management Agreement No. 01/3-94 of Dec 30, 2025, and states that WB INT EXPORT LLC, the Wildberries branch in Uzbekistan, is trust manager of the state stake with all of a shareholder’s rights.

The meeting elected a nine-member supervisory council for three years. The agency nominated four candidates and WB INT EXPORT five. The council includes WB INT EXPORT CEO Akmal Primkulov and independent member Roger Crook.

The excerpt does not give the agreement’s other terms, duration or any termination. It said the gap between Murodov’s denial and the document requires explanation.

In an Oct 3 statement, the agency denied reports that Uzbekistan Post had been privatized and had borrowed 100 billion soums. It said Wildberries and Uzum Market had expressed interest in buying the state stake, but that no privatization documents had been formalized.
