Over 72,000 stateless persons have been granted Uzbek citizenship over the past two years. This was announced at a press briefing with the participation of the head and officials of the Migration and Citizenship Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

At the briefing, information was given about the governmental services provided to the public by the migration and citizenship services based on international standards.

A total of 6 million 183 thousand 355 citizens have been issued international biometric passports for those going abroad since 2019.

Currently, citizens of 57 foreign countries can enter Uzbekistan on the basis of an e-visa, and citizens of 76 foreign countries can stay in Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days.

From January 1, 2020, visa-free entry to Uzbekistan for no more than 7 days is valid for citizens of China, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China.
