In Kazakhstan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan within the framework of the summit of the Council on Cooperation and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.

The two leaders discussed implementation of high-level agreements on the ways to further strengthen wide-scale strategic partnership ties and multilateral cooperation.

The parties focused on the promotion of joint investment projects and the implementation of new business initiatives, the participation of major Turkish companies in the process of privatization of state-owned enterprises in the country.

The sides noted the importance of continuing active humanitarian exchanges, first of all, in the fields of culture and education and discussed preparation for the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in Samarkand in November this year. The counterparts was agreed to expand effective dialogue within the regular meetings of the ministers in the Uzbekistan-Turkey-Azerbaijan format,.
