In the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup currently held in Australia, Uzbekistan has advanced to the quarter-finals as one of the best-performing third-placed teams. They secured their position on March 9, 2026, with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Bangladesh in Perth.

Uzbekistan's 4-0 win on the final matchday of Group B ensured they progressed ahead of the Philippines (the third-placed team in Group A) based on a superior goal count.

The upcoming quarterfinals are crucial as the top six teams in this tournament will qualify directly for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil, while 2 more will play in the intercontinental playoff.

The 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup quarterfinals are scheduled to take place from March 13 to March 15, 2026, in Perth and Sydney. Uzbekistan is set to face the Group A winner, South Korea on Saturday, March 14, at Stadium Australia in Sydney.

All four quarter-final winners will earn direct qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil. The four losing quarter-finalists will move to a play-in stage on March 19 at Gold Coast Stadium to compete for the remaining two automatic Asian qualifying spots for the World Cup.

While, the 2 remaining losing teams will play in the intercontinental playoff.
