The chairman of the Commerce and Industry Chamber Davron Vakhobov hosted the Deputy chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) Aryan Azimi.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the ways to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, to strengthen ties between the private sectors, and encouraging mutual investments.
The following initiatives were put forward at the meeting:
- organizing quarterly B2B meetings in Tashkent, Kabul, Termez, and Balkh;
- bolstering investment ties by opening an ACCI representative office in Tashkent;
- simplifying business visas and process of obtaining invitations for Afghan businessmen;
- expediting cargo transportation processes and optimizing customs procedures at Termez port;
- holding joint trade exhibitions annually in Kabul and Tashkent (or Mazar-i-Sharif and Termez).
