Agrobank today launched AgroVentures, a $6.1 million venture fund established within the bank under Presidential Decree dated 13.03.2026. The launch took place at ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026, the country's largest technology event, held September 22–25 at CAEx in Tashkent. With it, Agrobank becomes one of the first banks in Uzbekistan to run its own venture investment vehicle.
AgroVentures plans to invest in 60–75 companies and create more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. The fund target.s a 2.5x–3x return on invested capital, an annual IRR above 25%, and 8–12 exits with a projected total value of $15–18 million. Capital will go to early- and growth-stage startups, private equity in high-growth companies, Agrobank's own digital and fintech initiatives, and university research and IP. Tickets range from $25,000 to $500,000. AgriTech and AI/ML are the largest sector focuses, followed by FinTech, with further investment in retail, HealthTech, EdTech, GreenTech, logistics, and deep tech.
As its first program, AgroVentures is launching the AgroBank Corporate Accelerator with AI Station. The 12-week program will select up to 20 startups to run live pilots with Agrobank departments and SME clients, supported by international masterclasses, regional workshops, weekly mentoring, and a closing Demo Day. It charges no fee and takes no equity or revenue share. Standout teams may secure a partnership or white-label deal with Agrobank, or follow-on investment from AgroVentures. The program is open to startups from any sector with a working MVP and early traction; company registration is not required. Applications close October 23, 2026, at accelerator.aisinnovation.com.
