Enhancing the culture of dialogue with the public, willingness to listen to them, and making decisions based on their opinion and feedback should be the backbone of government bodies work, said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a government meeting on effectiveness of government communication with the public on Wednesday.

He emphasized that reform program in the country must be accompanied by an improved system for handling complaints from individuals, improving public reception offices activities and implementing modern approaches into their work, as well as in-depth public opinion research to take it into account in decision-making.

To accurately and comprehensively understand the sentiments, needs, and expectations of the population, modern professional sociological and analytical methods must be used, the president stated. He called this an important factor in obtaining objective information on the effectiveness of reforms and developing long-term development programs.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev reiterated that one of the main goals of government and administrative bodies is not only to promptly respond to complaints but also to systematically analyze them, compare them with the results of sociological research, and draft necessary solutions. Overall, this involves improving the quality of dialogue and strengthening trust between the state and society.

In June, the president criticized the work of public reception offices, claiming they had become a "switch room" redirecting inquiries to government bodies. More than half of the inquiries received last year were unresolved. While, he announced that all reception office staff would be replaced with "personnel capable of solving problems," and that management of the offices would be entrusted to regional and district mayors.
