Starting with the 2026/2027 academic year, children of teachers who enroll in or already study at state universities will receive a 30% discount on their tuition contracts. The procedure was approved by a government resolution dated Sept. 17, the Justice Ministry's Telegram channel reported.

The benefit applies to children of teachers who are enrolled in full-time undergraduate programs at state higher education institutions.

If a teacher has several children studying at state universities on a fee-paying basis, the discount will apply to each child separately.

Where the discount will not apply

The benefit does not cover tuition at:

  • Higher military and paramilitary educational institutions.
  • Foreign universities operating in the country and their branches.
  • Supplementary and differentiated contracts.
  • Joint educational programs and faculties of foreign partner universities.
  • Private higher education institutions.

How to get the discount

To receive a discounted contract, students must apply through the kontrakt.edu.uz system.

When an application is reviewed, the parent's status as a teacher will be verified through the interagency integration platform of the Digital Government system. If the data is confirmed, the discount is applied automatically.

The responsible agency must review the application within two working days.

The discount is granted once per academic year.

If a student's father or mother no longer qualifies as a teacher, the benefit will stop applying from the start of the next academic year.
