Jimmy Donaldson, the YouTuber known as MrBeast, will visit Tashkent on his first trip to Central Asia, the Culture and Arts Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, which organized the visit, said.
Donaldson, whose channel has 520 million subscribers, will meet fans on Oct. 9 in a format of interactive games, including a trivia quiz on little-known facts, the foundation's press service saida. Fans aged over 18 will be chosen at random from registered applicants, and winners will receive prizes.
Donaldson is known for big-budget video projects with elaborate productions and large prize pools, involving thousands of people. One of his channels, Beast Philanthropy, is devoted to charitable projects on hunger, clean water, medical care, support for children and families, and environmental initiatives. Feastables chocolate, sold under his brand, is available in stores in Uzbekistan.
The visit is part of a state program run by the foundation to expand the creative economy, develop youth initiatives, support digital industries and transfer international media technologies to the region, the press service said.
