Investors from the United States and China will build a plant for the production of packaged water, juices and dairy products in Samarkand province.

A trilateral agreement was signed between the Samarkand province governor office, the American company GMFR Global group Co.LTD and the Chinese holding Beijing Huiyuan Holding Co.LTD in September 2019.

The plant will be designed to annually produce 20 million tons of packaged water, juices and dairy products, with all produce to be marketed abroad. Soon US$ 100 million juice production equipment will be delivered to the country.

At a meeting with executives of GMFR Global group Co.LTD on January 6 at the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency, the company said it would organize a visit by ten Chinese businesses.. APII was asked to requested to provide information on promising projects.

Also, manager Angela Mo said that the company is interested in developing joint projects in the Jizzakh province. Investors are interested in agriculture, the building materials production (production of foam blocks) and of social facilities projects.

The company considers mechanical engineering, construction of hotels and highways, and e-commerce to be promising areas of cooperation. Due to its location, Uzbekistan, the international transport hubs of which connect Europe, the CIS, South-West Asia, India and China, has great potential for e-commerce.
