An agreement was signed between the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and the Central Bank of the Republic of Korea (Bank of Korea) on Knowledge Partnership Program, the Uzbekistan Central Bank said.

The program is aimed at promoting the development of the Uzbekistan financial market and macroeconomic policies in order to support long-term economic growth, as well as strengthening the capacity of employees of the Central Bank through the exchange of advanced knowledge and practice of the Republic of Korea and experience in implementing the Bank of Korea's policies in relevant areas.                                                                                                                                                                    

As part of the program, the Bank of Korea will advise the Central Bank of Uzbekistan on foreign exchange policy, including in-depth macroeconomic analysis to improve the skills of its employees.

The program will be implemented by a team of employees of the Bank of Korea, scientific consultants from leading Korean economic institutions and employees of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
