The government has issued a list of professions and positions that entitle people to early retirement. The following are eligible for early retirement:
- mining industry workers (at least 20 years of service);
- underground and open-pit mining workers (at least 25 years of service);
- pilots and flight test crews (men at least 25 years of service, women at least 20 years of service);
- theater, ballet, and circus performers (depending on category, from 20 to 30 years of creative experience);
- professional athletes (at least 20 years of service);
- medical personnel in psychiatric hospitals, and others.
Preferential pensions shall also be available to:
- disabled veterans;
- mothers of children with childhood disabilities;
- midgets and dwarfs.
Depending on the profession, a pension may be granted to:
- regardless of age;
- 10 years earlier;
- 5 years earlier.
Furthermore, businesses can now propose changes to this list based on working conditions and the level of injury risk.
