The Health Ministry's press service announced plans to implement a new program as part of its anti-corruption efforts Wednesday. The ministry noted that the fight against corruption “never stopped and was uncompromising."
Any form of corruption hinders development and holds society back, the Ministry said, and therefore, decisive steps are being taken to combat this scourge.
Minister Khudayarov signed a decree introducing the "secret patients" system in healthcare. Monitoring will be organized by departments within the ministry's central office.
Inspectors will not be able to use methods that facilitate violations or abuse of authority. They will act as actual customers. Research can be conducted not only by visiting the facility but also through phone calls, emails, and other means.
This allows for an assessment of compliance with administrative rules and legal requirements in the provision of medical services by healthcare institutions and their employees, as well as the level of skill, efficiency, and etiquette in communicating with the public.
The findings of the investigation shall be formally documented, and sheets for violations identified shall be reviewed by the Ethics Commission within five business days of its submission.
The Ministry of Health urged residents to confidentially report any information about corruption in medical institutions. Issues can be reported by calling 1203 hotline or via a Telegram bot.
