The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree apponting Abdumannop Buriyev as the Business Ombudsman Thursday.
The Business Ombudsman job was established in the country in 2017. That same year, Dilmurod Kasimov assumed the post. In March of this year, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General. The post has remained vacant since then.
Abdumannop Buriyev, 39, previously served as an MP from the Liberal Democratic Party and a member of the Committee on Combating Corruption and Judicial-Legal Issues.
He graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in 2010 and from the Higher School of Strategic Planning and Forecasting in 2016.
