Nestlé Foods announced a recall in Uzbekistan of a quantity of infant formulas—instant and fermented milk formulas, as well as amino acid-based therapeutic dietary formula—from certain batches, the company said.
Reportedly, the recall is part of a global recall of certain batches of infant formulas by Nestlé due to the identified potential risk of presence of toxin cereulide in raw materials (arachidonic acid) from an external supplier.
Despite the minimal content of this ingredient and the lack of regulation of cereulide toxin levels in food products in Uzbekistan, as part of Nestlé's global commitment to mitigating potential risks, Nestlé Food began a voluntary recall of a limited number of batches of baby food products on January 5, 2026,.
Consumers who purchased products from these batches can return them following the procedure published on the company's social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram).
This recall does not affect products from other batches or any other baby food products sold by Nestlé in Uzbekistan.
