A total of 61,548 Uzbeks who use the Solar Household program will receive 105.4 billion soums in subsidies for August, for electricity they generated with solar panels and fed into the national grid, according to the State Tax Committee.
The largest share went to residents of Bukhara province, at 18.9 billion soums, followed by Khorezm province at 18.3 billion soums and the Republic of Karakalpakstan at 12.4 billion soums.
Recipients can transfer the money to a bank card through the Soliq mobile app, under "Cashback and Benefits," then "Solar Household," then "Transfer to card."
Under the program, individuals who have had solar panels installed at their homes since April 1, 2023, receive a subsidy of 1,000 soums for every kilowatt-hour of surplus electricity they feed into the national grid.
In the first half of 2026, households received 330.822 billion soums from the state budget for solar power supplied to the grid, according to earlier reports.
