Rain is expected in several areas on Monday, Oct. 12, with a risk of mudflows and flash floods in foothill and mountainous areas, Uzhydromet said in its forecast.
Rain will fall intermittently in the city of Tashkent and in the country’s foothill and mountainous areas, where it could be heavy in places. It may turn to snow in the high mountains, the forecaster said.
Showers are expected in places in Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Andijan, Namangan and Fergana provinces. Light rain is forecast in places in Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh and Samarkand provinces. No precipitation is expected in the Republic of Karakalpakstan or Khorezm province.
Westerly winds will shift to easterly in most areas, blowing at 7-12 meters per second. Winds in the city of Tashkent will be westerly at 3-8 meters per second.
Night temperatures will range from 5-10 degrees Celsius in the mountains to 12-17 degrees in Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Andijan, Namangan and Fergana provinces. Daytime highs will reach 23-28 degrees in Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya provinces and 21-26 degrees in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm. In Tashkent, daytime temperatures will be 19-21 degrees. Mountain areas will see highs of 7-12 degrees.
