The president-elect Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed to his supporters after his announcement as the winner of the presidential elections.

In the Uzbekistan presidential elections Shavkat Mirziyoyev won most of the votes - 88.61%. According to preliminary data, 15,906,724 citizens voted for the UzLiDeP candidate, the chairman of the Central Election Commission Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov said at a briefing on Monday.

The CIS observers mission stated that Uzbekistan Presidential elections held on December 4 were free, transparent and competitive.

The observation mission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has recognized that Uzbekistan presidential election held on December 4 were open, free and democratic.

At 20:00 voting in 9383 polling stations in the country and 44 stations abroad for the Uzbekistan Presidential Election was finished.

In line with the Uzbekistan Election Law starting from 00:00 AM on December 3 the pre-election campaign shall be stopped and the Day of silence shall come into force, thus today and tomorrow which is the polling day, it is prohibited to hold campaigning in media and through other forms of advertising.
