The defense ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia, Kabul Berdiyev and Sergei Shoigu on Tuesday in Moscow signed a Treaty on the development of military-technical cooperation and the Cooperation Plan between the defense ministries for 2017, a statement on the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said.

The Tashkent city administration announced that the travel on public transport (buses and underground) will be free on the Presidential election day on 4 December, with the service starting at 5:00 AM.

The number of people who voted early in Uzbekistan Presidential election as of the evening of November 29 reached 53,501, a statement of the Central Election Commission said.

Following numerous requests from citizens to the Prime Minister’s virtual reception, the Unified public  services online portal (UPSOP) abolished the requirement to login with a electronic digital signature (EDS) when submitting letters to government bodies, this was announced by press service of the Uzbek Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications.

On 24 November 2016 the mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights published an Interim Report following the observation of the Presidential Election in Uzbekistan.

Early voting for the Presidential elections has started in Uzbekistan and will end on December 2 in line with the Law on Presidential Elections.

November 15-18, Tashkent hosted the meeting of working groups of the government delegations of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on delimitation and demarcation of the state boundary, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry press service said.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the grave site of Uzbekistan’s First President Islam Karimov, who passed away in September, in Samarkand.

Today the Uzbek Central Election Commission at a meeting announced that it has adopted a resolution on accreditation of observers from several international organizations to the presidential elections.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Makhmadsharif Khakdod is on visit in Tashkent. On November 16 the minister was received by the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov.

At present in Uzbekistan there are 5048 kindergartens, 4916 of which are managed by the state and 132 are private. Over 668.5 thousand children are brought up in these kindergartens, accounting for 26.5 percent of the total number of children aged 2-7 years. Over  pre-school teachers are employed at kindergartens.
