The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) announced a kit switch deal with 7Saber, sending shockwaves throughout the football community with the surprise decision, while everyone was expecting a switch for a global brand, the likes of Nike, Adidas or Puma.
Since 2019, Uzbekistan was affiliated with the German kitmaker Jako.
Spot, citing 7Saber, reported that the brand's history began in 2019, when the former chief of the Triathlon Federation Otabek Umarov created a graphic element based on the world-famous icons symbolizing various sports. Umarov is currently the first deputy chairman of the National Olympic Committee.
For the first time in its history the Uzbekistan national football team has qualified of the World Cup 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
