Artur Taymazov of Uzbekistan, who competed in the Men’s 96-120kg Freestyle wrestling event the Olympic Games Beijing 2008, in which he was awarded a gold medal, have been found to have committed an anti-doping rule violation pursuant to the IOC Anti-Doping Rules applicable to the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing in 2008 following the re-analysis which resulted in a positive test for the prohibited substances turinabol and stanozolol.

Consequently, Taymazov has been disqualified from the Olympic Games Beijing 2008 and is now required to return the gold medal, diploma and the medallist pin.
