On June 12 Uzbekistan in matchday 8 of final qualifying round of Russia 2018 World Cup will face Iran in Tehran. Before that on June 6, White Wolves will play a friendly match against Thailand.

Uzbekistan’s 3 defenders Islam Tukhtahudjaev (Lokomotiv Tashkent), Vitaliy Denisov (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia) and Aleksandr Merzlyakov (Kokand 1912) will miss the upcoming matches due to injuries.

After 7 Matches in Group A of the final qualifying round Uzbekistan on 12 points is third after Iran (17 points) and South Korea (13). Syria is forth with 8 points, while China (5) Qatar (4) trail in the bottom.
