On October 6, 2026, at the Residence of the French Ambassador in Uzbekistan, the Uzbek-French University and the France-Uzbekistan Economic Chamber, an association of entrepreneurs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at bringing university education and the business community closer together.

The MoU was signed by Nurkhammad Akhmedovich Yusupov, Rector of the University, and Alisher Karimbaevich Khaitmetov, Chairman of the Chamber. The memorandum is valid for three years.

The Chamber brings together more than 60 French and Uzbek companies and is part of the CCI France International network, which comprises 121 chambers in 95 countries. Under the memorandum, it will serve as an intermediary between the University and the business community.

The agreement outlines the following areas of cooperation:

  • internships, dual education and first employment;
  • participation of specialists from member companies in the educational process;
  • promotion of University programs among companies;
  • student participation in business meetings, thematic breakfasts and visits to industrial facilities;
  • joint organization of career fairs and career days;
  • use of the CCI France International network to establish academic and professional contacts abroad.

“Our companies are looking for engineers and managers, while the University will graduate specialists in precisely these fields every year. What was missing was neither demand nor supply, but a link between the two. Today, we are opening that link”, said Alisher Khaitmetov, Chairman of the France-Uzbekistan Economic Chamber.

The Uzbek-French University trains students in three fields: communications and languages, energy engineering, and transport and logistics management.
