Ten point three million tourists visited during the period of January–September 2026, the Tourism Committee said in a report. This figure marks a 20.4% increase compared to the corresponding period in 2025. In September alone, 1.2 million tourists arrived.

The highest growth in tourist arrivals was recorded from China, with the number of visitors from that country surging 2.1 times.

Additionally, arrivals from Malaysia grew 1.9 times, from Egypt and Romania 1.8 times, from Indonesia 1.7 times, from Japan 1.5 times, from the United States 1.4 times, and from Russia 1.3 times.

Furthermore, visitor numbers from Germany and the United Kingdom climbed by 25%, from France by 21%, and from Turkey by 15%.

During the January–September period, exports of tourism services reached $5.3 billion, representing a 51.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Previously, a list of 10 sites was approved to develop cave tourism.
