Unmanned aerial vehicle complex has been inaugurated in a military unit of the border troops of the State Security Service (SSS), the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel reported. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the chief of the SSS, Bakhodir Kurbanov.

The report stressed that in the context of global changes and aggravating global threats, the use of UAVs is becoming a strategically important element of the modern security architecture.

The reinforcement of the border troops with UAV units has reportedly increased the reliability of the protection of the state border.

Also it was reported that measures are being taken in the Armed Forces to create a unified control center for unmanned systems. Its tasks will include planning combat training and monitoring UAV flights in the country's airspace.

More than 100 young specialists have undergone training overseas and are passing on their technical experience and knowledge to other military personnel — piloting skills, maneuvering, and emergency response skills, such as landing a UAV in the event of equipment failure and loss of communication, and training on simulators in real combat situations.

Preparations are underway to establish serial production of unmanned vehicles with maximum localization, including software and electronic parts.
