The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Inson Social Services Center in Tashkent’s Shaykhantakhur district Thursday, the presidential press service said.
The Center provides over 100 types of social services to 12 categories of people in need. All processes - receiving applications, assessing needs, assigning and providing services - are reportedly organized in an accessible format.
Assistance is not limited to one-time support. The subsequent condition of the service recipient is monitored, with the affected person accompanied until full recovery, the statement added.
The Center employs 25 people, as well as 51 social workers assigned to neighbouhoods, and provides targeted support children and adults with disabilities, as well as with lonely elderly people.
The Center hosts the Imkoniyatlar Olami institution, created under a public-private partnership terms, which provides early intervention services for children under three, social adaptation and day care for children with disabilities, where about 80 people are receiving assistance.
